Hello to everyone, I love taking pictures of areas that people in Oregon can't normally get. Yesterday I took some pictures of ferns, a paper mill in the very early hours of morning and caught a great picture of steam rising from the mill, there is also a picture of Saddle Mt that only one can see if they are riding on Longview fiber land in a truck, my little camera seems to do a fair job of taking pictures. I also took a close up of a creek just to see how it would come out, and a close up of some Oregon ferns.

I had always had a love for the outdoors and nature for as long as I remember, I grew up in a heavily Urban area and always as a child would try and find my way to any green area I could find. I loved and cheerished any outings that would get me out of the city and they were very few. I started with photography when I was 12 years old and my first SLR camera was a Pentax K1000 which I still have today. I for the most part did not pursue photography as an adult other then taking a few nature shots during family outings or fishing trips as business and family got in the way of any serious pursuit of the hobby. It was Spring of 2010 that a new friend informed me of all the advaces in digital and it was a time when I was searching for something new during a period of serious turmoil in my life. A new interest was sparked in me the same as when I was a child and I borrowed a neighbors Cannon Rebel until I could decide what Camera I needed to take the type of art I am most interested in. I now take a camera with me nearly every where I go and it feels like falling in love anew. All I want to do is try and create something beautiful as there has been too much ugliness in my life.

With nature photography I generally try and capture realism. I personally believe that I cannot make something that is already perfect any more beutiful then it is. All I try and do is capture a small part of that beauty that can be found nearly everywhere.

Funny...

i was so excited when mom told me that my uncle sent us a camera. i rushed back home the next day and found the manual by the living room. The next thing i knew is that i'm saying..."coool"..."great".."my oh my, i love this".. i browsed from page to page, reading the feature of a canon power shot s70...i even leap in joy when i saw that aperture...shutter speed...can be adjusted to your preference...after reading the manual,i search for the camera which mom hid somewhere in the house..:D..and when i found the tiny bag with the camera in it...i grab it right away, and took the camera out.to my surprise,it's an olympus "stylus epic".and to double up the surprise...it has a film in it!... thoughts of megashot and my facebook page suddenly flashed in my mind...hahaha...:D...whew...halfway,i'm happy and a bit disappointed...maybe,i expected wayway too much..:D.what's with the canon s70 manual anyway?where did it came from?..haha...anyway,but it's not the issue now,...right now,i find it challenging to get into photography where there's less room for photoediting...let's just see what will happen..:D on the other hand,i might find a way of sharing it here...:D
