It seems to be getting increasingly difficult to find something I want to take a picture of. Also a bit of a challenge to find something worth keeping. Even harder to find something I feel that is worth displaying in the public eye.
The better my shots become the more critical I am becoming, which in turn makes me look at my older work and want to delete 90% of it. I have to resist the temptation of deleting it all so that I have a reference of where I have come from and therefore where I am going.

I added a new album: Mason my nephew. Mason was born May 23, 2011. He was born with cleft lip and pallet, but he still such a cute sweet little baby and always so happy, I love this little guy.

Just added a new album Land and scenery, I'm not that good with landscapes, but try anyways. Someday I'd like to do better in that area.

Starting to realize how important it is to have good lighting when shooting macro photography. Wish I had the twin lite macro flash :) Even if I bought a normal speedlite I could make a ringflash / diffuser. Hmmm some other time.
I did however pick up a remote trigger…so thats been a help.
Still looking for that ‘amazing’ shot. The more I shoot, the less impressed I am with the results. I have started setting the bar higher and higher for myself.

My avatar is at the summit

Day 2009. About a seventeen kilometre walk round-trip from the
chair-lift if you also take in the nearby Seaman's Hut. Pick a nice
day. It's a beautiful walk, and I recommend it. Remember to take
drinking-water and a small picnic lunch, as well as your camera. If
the board-walk is covered by snow, you will need snow-shoes to avoid
injury from slipping. Pack a raincoat and warm underwear in your
bag for emergency use only, and take a jumper or coat to wear if it
comes in cooler when you are on the mountain – and sun-screen.
Allow four to six hours, depending how often you shoot.
