    • What are MegaShot Communities?

      Running a group or a community should not be a Full-Time and a painful job. It should not disrupt our daily lives, and it should not stop us from enjoying  the content of our communities.  Building a community is probably for the purpose of creating our own personal environment, set our own rules and run our community affairs the way we deem fit.  The Community builder  and the administrators should have Fully customizable environment and enough tools at their disposal to minimize the tasks of administering a community. They should not have to end up doing silly and repetitive things, just to keep the community running.  MegaShot Communities are designed to help you easily build what you like and sit back and enjoy what you have built, with little or no maintenance work at all.

    • Why MegaShot Communities are Smart Communities?


         MegaShot communities are Ideal for Arts and Photography type of communities. Most everything is automated.  There is no need for making complicated Invitation and award HTML codes, no need for mindless copying and pasting of invitation and award codes. No pool sweeping and no tedious award counting and no tracking of the images in the community. These and much more, are all handled by your community itself.  Your popular images are automatically ranked in your community front page based on your chosen timeline. They are not only ranked in your community front page, but also Explored on the main site. MegaShot Communities are not only smart, but it is also smart to build a MegaShot Community. You will not only enjoy building and running a MegaShot Community, but you will also make money doing so (coming feature)

  • Building a Community

    • Can anyone build a Community?

      Yes, any registered  user can build a  MegaShot Community.
    • How can I build a Community?

      It is so easy to build a MegaShot Community. All you need to do, is click on the Communities Tab and look for "Build your own Community" button on the top right of the page. This will take you to the community registration page where you can give your Community a name, choose settings and register.  The default Community setting is as such, that you most probably have to just type in your Community name and a small description and you are done!

    • Do I have to be a member of a community to add my image to that community?

      You must be a community member to add an image to a community. When your image is invited to a community, you do not need to become a member to be able to send that image to the community. You will automatically become a member, when you accept the invitation by sending the image to the community pool. 
    • can I become a member of any community?

      you can become a member of any public community. If the community is public, you will see the link to Join the Community in the top center of the page. If the community is private, you will not be able to see or visit the community. 
    • How can I become a memeber of a community?

      You can only view, visit and become a member of a Public Community. When you visit the community's home page, you will see the link to join that community, in the top center of the page.
    • How can I leave a community?

      If you no longer wish to be a member of a certain community, just click on the link "Leave this Community", in the top right box of the community  home page. 
    • If I am banned from a community, how do I unban myself?

      You should not get yourself banned from a community. If you are banned however, you cannot unban your self. The only way possible to unban yourself, is to work it out with the community admins.
    • What is a community Mega Admin?

      A community's Mega Admin or Community's Builder, is the person who builds the community. When you register a community, you will automatically become the community's builder or Mega Admin.
    • Who are Community Admins and Moderators?

      MegaShot easy to run, with little or no work for maintenance. If he Community Mega Admin feels he needs help. he can appoint other members as Admins or Moderators to help him run the community affairs. Community Builder or Mega Admin, can also demote a Moderator or an Admin.
    • Who are Community Publishers?

      Community Publishers are appointed by Mega Admins and Admins. If you have any articles, tutorials or any content that may be interesting and useful to the community, ask any admin to appoint you to moderator position and they will probably be glad to do so. As a member, you can publish to the discussion forum of the community. As a Publisher, you can also publish to the Content  Page of the community.
  • Community Content

    • What is the difference between Community Content and Community Discussion?

      Community Content section, is where more important material such as articles, tutorial, news or any material important to the community, will be published. This Mega Admin, Admins and Publishers only, can publish to the content. Community Discussion however, is the place where all members can participate and discuss issues, ask for opinions or advice,  give or receive feedbacks on their photos.
  • Community Pool

    • What is Community Pool?

      When you send an image to a community, it goes in the Community Pool. In other words, Community Pool is the community image gallery.
    • Who are The Most Contributors to the pool?

      There are several Most Contributors to a Community Pool:
      Most Contributors by image count: These are members who have highest number of images in the pool
      Most Contributors by Favoriting: These are members who have favorited highest number of images in the Community pool.
      Most Contributors by Rating: These are members who rated the highest number of images in the Community pool.
      Most Contributors by Image View: These are members who have viewed most images in the Community Pool.
       
    • What is Community Karma?

      Community Karma is the level of your activity in the Community Pool. Community Karma is the sum of all comments, favorites and ratings you have done in a community pool, divided by the number of images you have in the pool. Community Admins will have access to each member's Karma, if they wish to do so.  You will also be shown your Community Karma each time you add an image to a community.
