MegaShot Contests are exciting new ways of competing in Photo Contests.  There are Contests for different image categories, such as Portraits, Landscapes, Flowers or Macros.  It is a multi- level contest and presently, it has 3 levels, Level One, Level Two and Level Three.  When you enter a Contest with a photo, you always enter at Level One. Depending on your image popularity and performance in the contest, it can exit the contest and be ranked and be a winner at Level One. If the Contest Engine recognizes your image as being too popular for Level One, it will automatically move up to Level Two and from there, even to Level Three, where it can be ranked and be a winner accordingly.

Yes,  you may enter up to three RELATED categories with same image. For instance, a bird shot may go in Bird Category, Nature Category and Animal Category, but it will never go into Portrait Category. Please choose wisely. Repeated offenders will be banned from the contest.

You enter a Contest from your Photo Display page. It is the page, where your photo is displayed large. On the top left of your photo, you will see an “Option” Button. Once you click on that button, you will see the option to enter a contest. Make sure to choose the right category for your image.

Once you enter a contest, you will be presented with 6 random images. Please look at the images carefully and click on the one you like the best. Once you choose the image you like best, you will then have to rate it. Rating is on a scale of 5 to 10. A rating of 5 is the lowest rating you can give to a photo and a rating of 10, is the highest. This will repeat 5 times. Please be judicious.

When you enter a contest, you will have to rate other images already in the contest.  Images with highest Contest Points, exiting each level, will be top winners of that level.
